A residence and trees...

Begun in 2000, this working subject appeared to me to join logically the project HORIZON of the residences of the field of the possible.

I arrived, without preconceived, just ideas with the liant, the paper and my paintbrushes...

Hoping "to find" on the spot the raw material, the concept as the pigments had to come from the surrounding country and from the experience of the residence.

I began with a work of sketch and the photographic location.

Of returns to the workshop, the work was spontaneous, immediate of deposit of materials, the visible movement, thrown vision !

A daily work was set up, day after day, some accumulated coats, the others remained as they are, youngs, big.

I ground around trees, varying my point of view around the subject, collecting in the passage lands and vegetables, making road, it was necessary to think of the structure of the installation, of the stake compared to the work.

I had thought in first places of a mobile, trees which steal beautiful image !

But the material would not have been perceived by far, it was necessary to move closer to the looker !

Meeting a magnificent heap of old boards, I perceived my tree there :

These boards of dead oak would regain their spiritual shape, a horse-gear totemic.

The timber structure was born in the improvisation, rough, very beautiful just as it is, a work with it only !

But the tree is not alone, it takes part of the life and transports an echo system, it vibrates of what surrounds it.

My intention as often in my work is to return account of this vibration.

These multiple visions which attach me to the alive tree took the metaphorical shape of a childish horse-gear,

Of a table of discovered for baby... Some thing of ludic as a whole, made up of things and others, the bottom and the direction are preserved in each small element of the large puzzle.

For that which can see, it is necessary to approach... like true tree, to perceive the insects, the buds, the perfumes !!!

The quality of the places and the liberty of action placed at the disposal largely took part in the good realization of my "Tree in boards".

This residence was for me a success, it gave me this simple possibility of improvising, to endanger to me creation, in situation to find !
